Clive is a member of Cotswold Scribblers which is the local group of members of the Association of Christian Writers.
At every meeting the members are given a subject on which they have to write an item for the next meeting. Each member is stretched by having to write on something that they probably would not have chosen if left to their own devices.
Johnny and the Rice Pudding posed a problem because most people these days would open a tin of rice rather than making a Rice Pudding (also known as a Milk Pudding) in the oven. This recipe was included in the readers notes in Johnny and the Rice Pudding book.
Since then other recipes have been added, all of which are baked by our author.
